The Thermal Store
At the heart of our installations is a Thermal Store; a highly insulated hot water cylinder that incorporates several heat transfer coils. This multi-coil construction enables it to be heated by a number of sources, including renewables like solar thermal panels, wood burners or wood pellet boilers and energy efficient air source heat pumps, as well as conventional boilers.
The stored heat can be tapped off when needed: to heat radiators or underfloor heating, and provide mains pressure hot water - for power showers without electricity consumption.
